Poreč, Croatia – September 2025

Team USA has been crowned world champions at the 2025 World Cornhole Cup . The Americans captured the title after a spectacular final against Slovenia, where they displayed world-class skills under intense pressure and took home the sport's most prestigious trophy.

The final showcased the very best of international cornhole, with Slovenia pushing the United States to their limits in front of a sold-out crowd in Poreč. Despite the narrow defeat, Slovenia's silver medal confirmed their growing strength on the world stage. Germany rounded out the podium with a strong third-place finish, a strong comeback after last year's disappointment.

This year's World Cup was the largest ever , with 20 countries from four continents participating . Players and fans from North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond gathered in the beautiful coastal town of Poreč , where a unique festival atmosphere emerged, combining top-level sport with cultural exchange.

The tie for fifth place between Canada, France, Sweden, and the Netherlands highlighted their resilience and high level of play, underscoring the growing balance in international cornhole. Each of these countries reached the quarterfinals and proved they could compete with the world's elite, laying the foundation for even more exciting tournaments in the future.

"Poreč gave us an unforgettable World Cup," said WCO Director Ton de Vries. "From the breathtaking coastal location to the incredible level of play on the courts, this event demonstrates how far cornhole has come in just a few years. We are proud that 20 countries participated, and even prouder of the sportsmanship and unity they demonstrated. We are also immensely grateful for the support of the local team that made this event such a success."

Since its inaugural edition in Rotterdam in 2022, the WCO World Cup has become the sport's flagship event. What began as a pioneering initiative to bring together the world's best players has become an annual celebration of cornhole's global growth. Each year, the World Cup not only crowns a champion but also strengthens ties within the international community.

The 2025 edition highlighted both the sport's competitive depth and the WCO's commitment to elevating cornhole to new heights. With the next World Cup already underway, the excitement is growing: can Team USA defend its title against an increasingly strong international field?
